Ronald C. Phillips has over 18 years experience as an entrepreneur and technical leader within the telecommunications and information technology sector. He has played a lead role in numerous public and privately funded startup efforts, and has been responsible for the specification, design, deployment, and operation of carrier-class fixed and mobile cellular and broadband wireless networks. His extensive experience spans both radio frequency and tcp/ip networking technologies as well as the business development and management aspects of today’s ICT networks. This experience enables him to accelerate the business development, design, and deployment processes to quickly produce tangible results. He has developed and implemented operations, troubleshooting and disaster recovery procedures, and training programs for operations and maintenance personnel. His breadth of experience and proven track record under harsh and time critical conditions have demonstrated his abilities to successfully implement ICT systems in developing communities.
Elizabeth M. Tomic brings degrees from Columbia and Harvard Business Schools combined with over 20 years of finance expertise and management experience with the American Express Company to Quavant. Prior to serving as Quavant’s president, Elizabeth served as vice president of finance at American Express for five years. Among her considerable responsibilities, she directed financial analysis of prospective corporate partnerships, led on-going monitoring and analysis of pricing and forecasting in major markets, and was responsible for budget oversight. Elizabeth has served on a variety of executive boards and panels for prestigious institutions and organizations including the Wharton Graduate School of Business, M.I.T., University of Michigan, and the Columbia Women in Business Luncheon. In addition to her extensive finance expertise, Elizabeth’s in-depth understanding of global markets, as well her leadership skills, allow her to provide a strong foundation in business principles and practice for Quavant and its clients.
James H. Davey has over twenty-three years experience with diversified wireless network system design and engineering management experience for utility, government, and public safety sectors. He is also an accomplished public speaker and technical writer specializing in proposals, RFPs, seminars, white papers, product and system specifications, policies/procedures and standards. His broad experience across the spectrum of engineering management has provided him a particular sensitivity to the roles and requirements of all project participants, including the customer, consultants and manufacturer. Additionally, James has research experience in the areas of electro-magnetic fields, acoustics, and automated measurement systems. His passion for the field and hands-on applications make him ideally suited for the rigors and challenges of working within developing communities.
Michael D. Brookman brings over 17 years of technical, customer service, and management expertise to Quavant. Michael brings a broad cross-section of exceptional management and technical skills to every project, including personnel supervision and training for customer service teams positioned around the globe. His in depth experience operating within a variety of countries and cultures makes him particularly adept at negotiating the challenges often faced by developing communities. Michael's strong leadership and organizational skills coupled with his extensive experience with communications network infrastructure and information technology make him ideally suited to deliver the proper training and management skills to empower communities for long-term growth and benefit.
Iraq On-site Project Coordinator
This highly skilled Iraqi national brings a unique perspective and incite to all Quavant projects in the Middle East. His strong ties to local communities and his understanding of Iraqi regulations and customs allow him to effectively negotiate with various ministries and governmental entities. This skill set, combined with his ability to hire and coordinate local subcontractors, make him an invaluable asset to Quavant and to the developing communities that we serve. In addition to his strong communication and organizational skills, he brings technical experience as a wireless technology field engineer with expertise in installation and troubleshooting of wireless broadband technology including high frequency microwave, point-multi-point radio, atm and tcp/ip protocols.
